Through my recent time at art college, I find myself being drawn to seemingly simplistic and minimal design, as it provides clarity, and doesn’t overwhelm the viewer. This clarity allows for the viewer to interpret the intent behind the design with ease. In a world of mass media, many things are fighting for our attention, so the ability for the viewer to quickly read and understand a design is mandatory.
Saul Bass is my chosen designer due to his work in not only design, but also animation. With Bass’ vast expertise, I felt as if there is a lot of potential content to cover, so reaching the 1500 word limit should be an easy task.
‘Media’ (noun) in this instance being: “the main means of mass communication (broadcasting, publishing, and the internet) regarded collectively.”
Posing the question as such would allow a recollection of the many fields that Bass is versed in, without restriction.
